Want to try your hand at printmaking while enjoying a drink or two? Join me at Swell Brewing Co. in beautiful McLaren Vale for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of linocut printmaking and create your own winged insect-themed prints to take home! Perfect for beginners, these workshops are all about having fun, experimenting with simple techniques, and discovering the magic of printmaking (and if you can enjoy a drink or two at the same time - why not!).
No experience needed — just bring your creativity and we’ll provide everything else. All materials supplied. Enjoy step-by-step guidance on creating, carving, inking, and printing your own design. For those who are not confident at drawing, never fear! Plenty of winged insect reference images (think butterflies, moths, dragonflies, bumblebees etc.) + tracing paper are provided and you will be taught how to transfer your traced drawing onto your lino.
You’ll spend the workshop creating one amazing design, and then you’ll have the opportunity to print 4 prints of your design to take home - Great for gifting unique handmade artworks to your loved ones!
Workshop runs for 2.5 hours and you’ll be able to purchase lunch/snacks + drinks during this time which you can enjoy while you create (food and drink from Swell Brewing Co. are not included in the ticket price).
