‘PRINT YOUR PET!’ IS BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2026 DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND!
Want to try your hand at printmaking while enjoying a drink or two? Join me at The Suburban Brew for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of linocut printmaking and create your own original lino prints of your favourite furry friend to take home! Perfect for beginners, these workshops are all about having fun, experimenting with simple techniques, and discovering the magic of printmaking (and if you can enjoy a drink or two at the same time - why not!!).
No experience needed — just bring your creativity! Enjoy step-by-step guidance on creating, carving, inking, and printing your own design. For these workshops you are required to bring along one or more printed out A6-size images of your beloved pet to work from. Tracing paper is then provided and you will be taught how to transfer your traced photo onto your lino, then create your own unique artwork of your furry bestie from there! Feel free to bring along lots of images if you like, and I can help you to select one that will be the most suitable for the workshop.
*It is not recommended to only bring photos on a phone or tablet, as it is very difficult to trace an image on a digital screen - so please try to bring along the print outs at the correct size (A6: 10.5cm x 14.8cm).
*If you do not have a pet and you would still like to partake in the workshop, you can bring along any reference photos you like (at the correct A6-size), and I will help you to create your own unique lino print from your reference photos. Some ideas might be a photo of your favourite animal, a photo of a loved one, your favourite flower etc… the possibilities are endless! Or you can just rock up and wing it and create a totally unique design from scratch!
You’ll spend the workshop creating one amazing design, and then you’ll have the opportunity to print 3 prints of your design to take home.
Workshop runs for 2.5 hours and you’ll be able to purchase lunch/snacks + drinks during this time from the brewery which you can enjoy while you create. Food and drink from the venues are not included in the ticket price.
Workshop attendees can enjoy the ‘Good Neighbours Club’ discount on drinks at the bar. For workshops at the Goodwood Taphouse, food can be purchased from Reggie’s Detroit Pizza. For workshops at the Glynde Brewery, food can be purchased from the food trucks.
