Want to try your hand at printmaking while enjoying a drink or two? Join me at Swell Brewing Co. in the beautiful McLaren Vale for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of linocut printmaking and create your own original Magpie-themed lino prints to take home (no… not the AFL team!). Perfect for beginners, these workshops are all about having fun, experimenting with simple techniques, and discovering the magic of printmaking (and if you can enjoy a drink or two at the same time - why not!!).
No experience needed — just bring your creativity! Enjoy step-by-step guidance on creating, carving, inking, and printing your own design. For those who are not confident at drawing - never fear! Plenty of Magpie-themed reference images/photos + tracing paper is provided and you will be taught how to transfer your traced image onto your lino.
You’ll spend the workshop creating one amazing design of our beautiful and beloved Australian Magpie, and then you’ll have the opportunity to print 3 prints of your design to take home. All Magpie-related reference images and photos are provided.
Workshop runs for 2.5 hours and you’ll be able to purchase lunch/snacks + drinks during this time from the venue which you can enjoy while you create, or take a short break. Food and drink from the venues are not included in the ticket price.
