Want to try your hand at printmaking while enjoying a drink or two? Join me at Swell Brewing Co. in the beautiful McLaren Vale for a relaxed, hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of linocut printmaking and create your own original botanical-themed lino prints to take home. Perfect for beginners, these workshops are all about having fun, experimenting with simple techniques, and discovering the magic of printmaking (and if you can enjoy a drink or two at the same time - why not!!).
No experience needed — just bring your creativity! Enjoy step-by-step guidance on creating, carving, inking, and printing your own design. For those who are not confident at drawing - never fear! Plenty of botanical-themed reference images/photos + tracing paper is provided and you will be taught how to transfer your traced image onto your lino.
You’ll spend the workshop creating one amazing design and then you’ll have the opportunity to print 3 editions of your design to take home.
Workshop runs for 3 hours and you’ll be able to purchase lunch/snacks + drinks during this time from the venue which you can enjoy while you create, or take a short break. Food and drink from the venues are not included in the ticket price.
Whether you're looking to try something new, get crafty with friends, or just enjoy a few mindful hours making art, this is the perfect place to start.
